A Gas Lantern is a Lantern fitted with a bottle of gas. The gas will burn over time, until it expires and the lantern becomes an Empty Gas Lantern. A Gas Lantern will always give off an empty bottle of gas when right clicked.

Not all gases can be put in a Gas Lantern, and the gas will decide for how long the fuel lasts. The amount of time it will burn, if any, depends on the Combustibility of the gas, and can be indicated by the color of the flame.

A Gas Lantern can feed off gas from pipes in a closed pipe system.

This lantern provides as much light as possible for a block in Minecraft.
