Gas Detectors are tools used for finding gas of a specific type indicated by the name of the Gas Detector, and the color on the back.

By right-clicking with the item in the player's hand, Gas Detectors will search a 10 block long cone in front of the player for gases. If matching gas is found, detectors will make a sound.

If the player right clicks with a Gas Detector on a sampleable block, it will act as an Including Gas Sampler.
